Africanized Bees Become Problematic In Arizona After Multiple Hospitalizations

A group of people in Maricopa was taken to the hospital this past weekend after being attacked by a swarm of bees.

The incident follows a handful of others involving bees. Are bees becoming more of a problem in Arizona, specifically Africanized bees? According to Osman Kaftanoglu, the answer is yes. He’s the project manager for the Honey Bee Lab at Arizona State University.
