The effort to fight human trafficking in metro Phoenix is working, according to state and local officials and community activists. They’re touting the success of the "Not Worth It" campaign, aimed at sex buyers.

Cindy McCain, is working with the group, and said this is an important effort.

“Many of these victims are underage, so this is much deeper than just saying I’m gonna buy sex. It’s about abusing a child, in many cases,” McCain said.

Phoenix police said they have arrested 185 sex buyers since the campaign began. The coordinated billboard and online education effort at notworthit.org is claiming 5,700 unique visitors.
