Arizona Group Wants Mexican Visitors to Travel Entire State

A group of Arizonans wants the U.S. Homeland Security Department to extend the border crossing zone to include the entire state.

Right now, Mexican travelers with a crossing card can come into Arizona and travel a specific distance from their port of entry. Advocates say allowing visitors to travel throughout Arizona would benefit the state’s economy. Youngtown Mayor Michael LeVault is one of those advocates, he’s also chair of the Maricopa Association of Government’s Economic Development Committee.
