Valley Metro will start testing the northwest extension of the Phoenix light rail later this week. As part of the testing, trains will run along 19th Avenue from Montebello to Dunlap Avenue.
According to Valley Metro, testing allows for a full inspection of the system as well operations staff training. Testing will continue up until the opening of the line next March.
