Flagstaff Delays School For Slick Conditions

Flagstaff has seen above average snowfall this year. Yesterday, the area received over three inches. As some of that melted through the day, it quickly froze overnight, delaying the start of school.

Karen Eberhardt with Flagstaff Unified School District said the district is prepared for the excessive snow days.

“Because we’re in Flagstaff, we do allow for extra minutes. And we do allow for, this year I believe, it’s six snow days,” she said.

Eberhardt said the delays are essential for school buses to avoid the slick roads.
