A project to expand a Prescott facility's ability to serve air tankers used to fight wildfires has been completed. City officials say the project will allow the air tanker base to accommodate the next generation of tankers as well as other aircraft used to fight summer wildfires in the region. Funding for the project included almost $3 million provided by the U.S. Forest Service and the Arizona Department of Transportation.
