Earlier this month the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints made a dramatic rule change that will have a deep effect on LGBT members.
The modification said members in same-sex marriages can be thrown out of the church, and their children have to wait until they’re 18 years old — and reject homosexual relationships — in order to be baptized.
John Gustav-Wrathall spoke about the change. He was raised a Mormon and is currently active in the Church. He’s also a member of the Board of Affirmation: LGBT Mormons, Families and Friends.
