Arizona retailers are expecting an increase in sales this holiday season. Michelle Ahlmer of the Retailer’s Association said dinosaurs and Star Wars will be the top toys, as movies continue to guide kids’ wish lists. She predicts a 3-percent sales increase over 2014.
“I think income levels are up a little bit but I think gas prices are helping. And, the economy’s coming along a little bit,” she said.
Ahlmer said seasonal employment across the country should be 700,000 to 750,000. She said many of those workers have already been hired but that it’s not too late to get a job for the holiday.
