Nationwide Warrant Issued For T-Ball Coach

Authorities in southern New Mexico have issued nationwide warrant for a man accused of stealing money from a kids' T-ball team.

Parents in the small town of Anthony, N.M., reported 40-year-old Moises Martinez to the local sheriff's department, according to the Las Cruces Sun-News.

A group of thirteen parents say they paid Martinez more than a thousand dollars for registration fees and uniforms. Martinez reportedly canceled practices, didn't return phone calls then disappeared.

Martinez had told authorities he would turn himself in on Monday but had not done so as of Wednesday. A sheriff's deputy who went to Martinez's home found a note that said Martinez would be out of town.

He has been charged with embezzlement.
