A bulk of holiday shopping will take place on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. With the draw of discounts and wide spread sales people flock to the mall and their computers.
Credit expert Mike Sullivan said it’s easy to overspend this time of year.
“You should never let any merchant tell you when to do your shopping. That’s what they do in order to encourage you to spend more than you should, and to buy stuff that you really don’t need,” he said.
Sullivan said shoppers should make a list and stick to it. He says lists help prevent impulse purchases.
