Mexico’s state-owned oil company is headed to the States. Pemex will soon open five gas stations on this side of the border.
The brand is seen at most gas stations in Mexico and soon will be on a handful of stations in Houston, too. It’s part of an experiment in expanding its presence in the States. Pemex said it chose the city because of its, "high population of Latino origin."
Because of government-mandated pricing in Mexico, gas has been cheaper recently in the United States than it is at Pemex stations in Mexico.
