Arizona’s process for drawing its political boundaries was back before the U.S. Supreme Court Tuesday.
The justices heard arguments on whether the state’s Independent Redistricting Commission illegally distributed Arizona’s population when creating the state’s 30 legislative districts. Earlier this year, the high court upheld the process of using the IRC to draw congressional maps. Howie Fischer, of Capitol Media Services, was in Washington D.C. for the arguments and spoke about the issue.
