Every Student Succeeds Act Gives Education Control Back To States

President Obama signed the Every Student Succeeds Act on Thursday, which will replace No Child Left Behind.

Both the House and Senate overwhelmingly approved the measure with bipartisan support. The new law, among other provisions, reduces the federal government’s role in public education and changes how standardized test results are used. Tim Ogle, executive director of the Arizona School Boards Association, spoke about the program's impact in Arizona.
