A fire at Schnepf Farms in Queen Creek in the southeast Valley destroyed a farmhouse early Friday morning. The cause of the blaze remains unknown.
An office was also destroyed by the blaze. The farm’s petting zoo, garden, country store and rides were not damaged, and will remain open.
Built in the 1950s, the farmhouse was used as a venue for weddings and other events.
On the farm’s Facebook page, one of the co-owners wrote, “25 years of records, photos, computers, budgets, supplies… basically everything that had to do with entertainment on the farm is gone. Nothing is salvageable.”
Today is the worst morning of my life!!! 25 years of my life's blood is in this building. pic.twitter.com/mW8aPpK54c
