A surprising amount beauty is hidden in the scientific process — and ASU researchers have the photos to prove it.
ASU’s Biodesign Institute put out a call in September for employees to share high-resolution photos of their work for the "Seeing Science" photo contest. More than 170 photos from various fields of study were submitted.
The competition focused on six categories: Photomicroscopy, Science, Artistic Science, People at Work, Science and Nature and Smartphone.
Winners were announced Dec. 9 during an exhibit of the work in downtown Phoenix.
Check out the winners in each category, including Best of Show and People's Choice awards.
