Trader Joe’s is recalling one of its house-brand sodas over fears of bursting bottles.
The grocery chain is offering refunds for recently bought bottles of Triple Ginger Brew, encouraging people to handle the soda with care and instructing customers to safely throw the glass bottles away in an outside container.
According to a press release, this applies to all Triple Ginger Beer purchased between Nov. 9 and Dec. 14 of this year. The soda does not pose a health risk if consumed, but the company has gotten feedback that bottles were bursting or shattering.
No injuries have been reported, and all of the bottles in question have been taken off Trader Joe’s shelves and destroyed.
