Christmas morning may be extra special for thousands of kids later this month as they open packages that reveal the excitement of drones.
But the children better not plan to spy on the neighbors; with new technology come new rules. Starting in February, the Federal Aviation Administration is going to require drone owners to officially register them as part of the FAA’s Unmanned Aircraft Systems Registration.
Andrew Maynard explained the issue. He is a professor in the School for the Future of Innovation in Society at Arizona State University and director of the Risk Innovation Lab.
