Every year, medical professionals remind people to get a flu shot to keep the community healthier. But if you get the flu, there are limited options to dealing with it. That’s what’s behind the work of Jun Wang, an assistant professor in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Arizona.
His team is working on finding the common features that influenza viruses from different years have. That’s going to be assisted by previous findings showing a viral protein found in nearly 95 percent of Influenza A viruses.
