A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the man police have accused of gunning down a retired police officer on Christmas Eve near Wild Horse Pass Hotel & Casino.

The Gila River Police Department identified John Campos Sr. on Saturday as a suspect in the killing of retired Bakersfield, Calif., Police Officer Frank Pascua.

Campos, 47, is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing between 160 and 180 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. Police said he has a shaved head and tattoos on his back and arms.

Campos allegedly shot Pascua, 52, three times in the parking lot while Campos was trying to steal a car, according to the Associated Press. Campos’ son-in-law had been labeled a person of interest, but has since been cleared.

Anyone with information should call 1-800-CALL-FBI or 623-466-1999.
