The Phoenix Suns say leading scorer Eric Bledsoe will not return this season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee.
The team says Bledsoe should be ready to play again by the start of training camp next fall.
The 26-year-old was injured in the team's home loss to Philadelphia on Saturday.
Bledsoe appeared in 31 games this season, averaging 20.4 points per game.
This is the third significant knee injury in Bledsoe's six-year NBA career.
Send @Ebled2 your messages of encouragement as he starts on road to recovery. #GetWellBledhttps://t.co/VBbwL8a1Qb pic.twitter.com/GG7YAwCEOf
