Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton and some members of the city council will take their oaths of office next week.
The mayor and councilmembers Thelda Williams, Bill Gates, Daniel Valenzuela and Michael Nowakowski will be inaugurated on Monday, Jan. 4 at the Orpheum Theatre in downtown Phoenix.
Mayor Stanton and the councilmembers were re-elected to their posts in August. The mayor will be sworn in by the city’s chief judge of the municipal court. The councilmembers will be sworn in by Mayor Stanton.
