President Obama announced executive action he’s taking to reduce gun violence Tuesday.
Among his orders is a mandate requiring anyone selling firearms to have a license and conduct background checks. He’ll also set aside more money to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms to hire more agents to help enforce gun laws.
At Bear Arms Firearms and Accessories in Scottsdale, licensed gun owner Adam Fudge said the new restrictions won’t work.
BJ Zapor, a retired 25-year veteran of the ATF and current faculty associate with the Arizona State University School of Criminology and Criminal Justicem, spoke about the issue.
