Phoenix bus services will operate normally Wednesday despite the threat of a strike.
A bus strike that would affect 34 routes in Phoenix was held off another day as the bus drivers union now considers a “best and final” offer from the bus company. The local Amalgamated Transit Union was accusing contract company Transdev of unfair labor practices.
The union is petitioning for changes to an employee payment system, using vouchers in place of a uniform allowance and bereavement time.
The ATU will now present the offer to it’s members.
A vote is expected to take place by Thursday.
