Economist: Phoenix-Area's Cold, Rainy January Not Hurting Economy

Sky Harbor has gotten 1.13 inches of rain so far this month. That’s almost .75 inches more than average by this time in the year. And, the Valley has seen some below-average high temperatures in January, not to mention fog on the mountains and frost on windshields.

In an area known as a good place to get away from winter, is that hurting the region’s economy? Valley economist Elliot Pollack, who runs Elliot D. Pollack and Company, spoke about how the weather affects our economy.
