Comet Catalina Making Only Appearance In Our Solar System

A comet discovered by the University of Arizona’s Catalina Sky Survey is making a one-time appearance in our solar system.

Comet Catalina has been traveling the universe for billions of years, but we’ll be able to see it just this once for a few weeks in the pre-dawn eastern skies.

Arizona Science Desk reporter Sara Hammond spoke with Eric Christensen, director of the Catalina Sky Survey, about the comet.
