The Sandra Day O'Connor federal courthouse in downtown Phoenix.

The trial continues against two towns on the Arizona-Utah border that were founded as an enclave of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

The Justice Department is trying to convince a jury that the towns’ police and officials acted as arms of the church and discriminated against non-church members. KJZZ’s Jude Joffe-Block spoke from the courtroom where the Justice Department just put on one of its key witnesses.
