Arizona Looks To Join Multi-State Medical Licensing Compact

A legislative committee debated Tuesday on a bill that would have Arizona join a multi-state compact for licensing doctors.

Twelve states have already joined the compact, including Nevada, Utah and Minnesota. At least five states besides Arizona have proposed joining so far this year. State Representative Heather Carter is the sponsor of House Bill 2502, which would lay the groundwork for Arizona to join.

Carter spoke about why the state should be a part of this.
