A controversy was created recently when the Satanic Temple of Tucson submitted a request with Phoenix city clerk’s office to offer the invocation at the start of city council meetings.
Several council members want to implement a new rule that would lead to stopping the satanic group from delivering the prayer. Arizona State University religious studies professor Tracy Fessenden spoke about the situation.
