Former Arizona Senator Kyl Weighs In On Supreme Court Justice Nomination

The death of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia has led to another political conflict.

A number of Republican Senators are calling on President Barack Obama to not nominate a successor, but instead to wait for the next president to decide in January 2017. At a news conference on Tuesday, Obama said he will send a nominee to the Senate, saying there is “more than enough time” for the members to consider a nomination.

Former Arizona Senator Republican Jon Kyl, who was a member of the Judiciary Committee for a number of high court nominations, spoke about the issue.
