What Apple's Fight With FBI Could Mean Going Forward

The public fight between Apple and the federal government began when the FBI called on the company to circumvent iPhone security.

This was so the government could look inside the device that was owned by one of the San Bernardino shooters. That incident involved 14 deaths. In prior situations, Apple has argued that the government could "push the law to a new frontier” and force the company to change its products.

Dan Gillmor spoke about the issue. He’s a longtime technology writer, columnist and professor of practice at Arizona State University’s Cronkite School.
