The United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has designated more than 1,000 properties as world heritage sites. The Grand Canyon is one, for example.
But there are concerns that those sites in certain nations are actually creating problems and causing significant complications. Dallen Timothy, a professor in the School of Community Resources and Development at Arizona State University spoke about that.
