An Arizona board Thursday approved a private Midwestern college opening a location in Arizona.
Huntington University will occupy a 30,000 square-foot building in Peoria.
Huntington is a private, Christian college headquartered in northern Indiana. It isn’t the first Midwestern higher education institution to eye Peoria for a new location.
Indiana-based Trine University has a campus there and offers studies in STEM fields.
Huntington takes a similar, niche-market approach and will have digital media arts degree programs.
The university plans to start courses next fall semester.
