The battle over funding for K-12 education in Arizona has been ongoing, and voters will have a major opportunity in May to add a lot more of it to schools here.
Other K-12 related issues are vital, too, including training and retaining quality teachers and having standards that make sense and help students proceed and succeed.
Janice Palmer, who is leaving the Arizona School Boards Association to join the Helios Foundation, spoke about those issues.
