Farmers, Ranchers In 3 Arizona Counties Qualify For Drought Assistance

Farmers and ranchers in Arizona’s Mojave, La Paz and Yuma counties can now apply for emergency loans to cope with drought. 

These counties qualify for drought assistance because they border California and Nevada areas where the United States Department of Agriculture has declared a natural disaster. 

Last year, almost every county in Arizona was considered in drought, but national data show some improvement this year.
