When David Saar founded Childsplay Theatre in the Valley nearly four decades ago, the effort and the productions were definitely modest.
An old Chevy transported Saar and other actors from classroom to classroom to perform for students. In recent years, Childsplay has become nationally acclaimed for its creativity and troupe of professional adult actors.
Saar spoke about his 39 years with the company as he moves into retirement.
