Voters Won't Be Assigned Polling Location For Presidential Preference Election

Maricopa County voters won’t need to report to a specific polling location for the upcoming Presidential Preference Election. They’ll just have to choose from one of the 60 that will be open across the county on March 22nd.

Maricopa County Recorder Helen Purcell said this was an easy decision because most voters are on the permanent early voting list and registered independents are barred from voting in this election.

“So, looking at all those factors, we thought if we had larger polling places spread throughout the county and anybody could be able to go to any one of those to cast their ballot,” Purcell said.

The open polling places format is only for March 22nd. Voters must go to their assigned a polling location for all other elections.
