Prepare For Long Lines, Busy Day Expected At Sky Harbor

As Arizona’s spring visitors return home, they are causing long lines and heavy departure traffic at Sky Harbor. March is the busiest month for traffic at the Airport.

Heather Lissner at Sky Harbor said they will be experiencing large numbers in the next few days.

“We have about a 30% increase in passenger traffic this month. So, on an average day we have about 110,000 people that come through the airport,” she said.

During March they expect that number to increase to 140,000 people a day.

Checkpoint A in Terminal Four has the longest wait times.

Lissner strongly recommends travelers arrive at Sky Harbor no later than 2 hours before their fight departure time.
