The early spring weather is wreaking havoc on those suffering from allergies. And pollen levels in the Valley will be high over the next few days.
Dr. Miram Anand, a Phoenix based allergist, said warm weather, high winds, and a drier atmosphere are causing the pollen levels to remain high.
“Definitely here in Arizona, we’ve had a lot of rain over the winter and then things warmed up quickly. So, the pollen is definitely enjoying that,” she said.
Pollen counts tend to be highest early in the morning.
Anand said over-the-counter antihistamines work best to relieve most allergy symptoms.
