Valley musician Cait Brennan has been playing music for decades, but she only recently released her debut album, "Debutante," just before her 47th birthday.

Her music is rich glam rock full of layered vocal harmonies, catchy hooks and driving drum beats.

Brennan grew up near Bell Road and 19th Avenue, which at the time was on the outskirts of town. She spoke about her new album, how being openly trans affects the way people perceive her and her music and about the way the local music scene influenced her. She said she remembers listening to local bands like The Jetzons and Gentlemen After Dark and falling for them at a young age.
