If you've been meaning to make a trip to one of Arizona's 22 national parks and monuments, now's your chance to do it on the cheap.
The National Park Service offered free admission to every national park for 16 days in 2016 — and Veterans Day on Nov. 11 is the last day.
The promotions are meant to celebrate the National Park Service's 100th birthday.

According to the National Park Service, nearly 11 million people visited Arizona national parks last year. Here are the five most popular in 2015. (But if you don't want to fight the crowds, consider heading to Fort Bowie National Historical Site, about 40 miles east of Wilcox, which gets fewer than 8,000 visitors annually.)
1. Grand Canyon National Park — 5,520,736 visitors
2. Lake Mead National Recreation Area— 1,824,616 visitors
3. Canyon de Chelly National Monument — 813,686 visitors
4. Petrified Forest National Park — 793,225 visitors
5. Saguaro National Park — 753,446 visitors
