3.7 Earthquake Shakes Northern Arizona

Another swarm of earthquakes hit northern Arizona over the weekend. The strongest registering near Littlefield with a magnitude of 3.7.

Mike Conway, a seismologist with the Arizona Geological Survey, said it’s unlikely the series of earthquakes are over.

“I anticipate that we’ll see some additional aftershocks from this magnitude 3.7. We’ll just have to wait and see,” he said.

Conway said it will be difficult to predict any future tremors or their strength. He said the recent string is a reminder for all Arizona residents be prepared.
