Analysis: Arizona Spends $4000 Less Per Student Than National Average

School districts on average spend $12,000 on each student each year across the country.

That’s according to an analysisby NPR. The review found the average primary and unified district in Arizona spent just shy of $8,000 per student. Pearl Chang Esau, president and CEO of the education group Expect More Arizona, spoke more about those numbers.
