Report: Arizona Lagging In Health Emergency Preparedness

How prepared is Arizona to deal with a health emergency? According to a new index — not that well prepared.

The state’s overall score is among the lowest in the country on the newly released 2015 National Health Security Preparedness Index.

Glen Mays, professor of Health Policy at the University of Kentucky, manages the National Program Office for that index. Mays talked about what he looks for when he's putting together the report.
