Arizona Mayors Push For Money To Speed Up Border Transportation Project

Mayors from across the state are pushing for a $25 million federal grant, which would speed up a transportation project just north of the Nogales Port of Entry.

The Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER) grant has the support of all nine of Arizona’s members of Congress — the state could hear later this year if it’ll get the money.

Tucson Mayor Jonathan Rothschild is one of those advocating for the grant.
