An area of Gilbert has been named the country’s No. 1 "boomtown" by realtor.com. The Power Ranch, Seville and Trilogy neighborhoods, which are southwest of ASU’s Polytechnic campus and Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport have a nearly 16-percent, five-year projected household growth.

Gilbert Mayor John Lewis talked about challenges his town could face as it continues its growth.

Deborah Martin, an urban geographer at Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts, explained the logistical and infrastructure-type issues could cities and towns who experience this kind of rapid growth face.
