Phoenix is pretty spoiled with sunsets. It seems like every night the sky is just blazing with oranges and reds and of course — the purple mountain’s majesty. As it turns out, Phoenix really does have the best sunsets in the country.
A team based out of Penn State’s Weather Communications Group called Sunset Weather uses meteorological data to predict and map the best sunsets in the country and Phoenix almost always comes out on top.
Founder Ben Reppert talked about what metrics the use to make their predictions.
