Baggage was taken to one of Sky Harbor's cellphone lots on May 12, 2016.

Phoenix’s Sky Harbor International Airport is back online after a baggage screening system experienced a glitch that left more than 3,000 bags unscreened and not aboard their designated flight.

Every airline was affected by the outage that lasted about 14 hours.

Julie Rodriguez with Sky Harbor said unchecked bags were placed in a cell phone lot before being taken to another airport across state lines.

“Some of the bags, mostly if not all of them from Southwest Airlines, were taken by truck to the Las Vegas airport last night where they were screened and the placed on flights to their destinations," Rodriguez said.

If you’re missing your bag, you will need to contact your airline directly.
