Pima County Board Of Supervisors Bans Cellphones Use While Driving

Keep your cellphone out of reach if you’re driving through Pima County in southern Arizona.

In a unanimous vote, the Pima County Board of Supervisors has approved an ordinance banning the use of cellphones while driving. The city of Tucson, located in Pima County, already has an anti-texting ban in place.

The Arizona Legislature has not enacted any law regulating cellphone use while driving.

The Pima County law will go into effect next month.
