Arizona Representatives Ann Kirkpatrick and Raul Grijalva are urging House leaders to take immediate action on supplemental funding to address a potential Zika virus health crisis in the US.

In a letter, Kirkpatrick, Grijalva and 33 other representatives asked for a vote on the funding question including dedicated money for tribal communities “without further delay."

The letter notes tribal communities are already disproportionately impacted by mosquito-borne diseases like West Nile virus due, in part, to inadequate staffing and resources.
