Arizona Attorney Expresses Concerns Over Arizona Supreme Court Expansion

The Arizona Supreme Court will soon expand from five to seven justices now that Gov. Doug Ducey has signed House Bill 2537.

In his signing letter, Ducey wrote, “Some have said this bill is unnecessary, and that the court can handle its caseload just fine. But I believe you’ll hear a different story from the businesses and individuals facing litigation, who are in need of certainty.”

We heard from attorney Tim Nelson on his concerns about the law.

Bill Raftery of the National Center on State Courts discussed what changes other states — including Georgia and Florida — are making to their highest courts.
